I was happy to be able to participate in the Yavapai Republican Party recent effort to aid the Salvation Army, donating on 5/4 a pick up truck load of food and cleaning supplies, plus $2,000 in cash and gift cards. This was largely thanks to a weekend fundraising effort – led by LD1 candidate Selina Bliss – that happened at Daylight Donuts on Whipple St, generously supported by owner/operators Kara & Steve Woods. I, along with other members of the community, took this opportunity to donate portions of our stimulus checks to the Salvation Army as well.
Prescott & Yavapai County are so blessed to have both a wonderful Salvation Army and such a caring community, a combination that is hard to beat. I encourage others to join us by donating to the Salvation Army to begin the process of returning Prescott to its normal vibrant self.
